Every engagement starts with understanding how a customer builds today. As a Solutions Engineer, you'll be the bridge between a client's problem and the line Precept designs to solve it.

The role

You'll learn a customer's operation from the floor up, map what's worth automating, and scope the system with our engineering team. You translate a messy real-world problem into a plan we can build.

What you'll do

Work directly with customers to understand their lines and constraints, define scope and approach, and partner with engineering to shape the solution. You'll bring technical depth to the conversation and bring the customer's reality back to the team.

What you'll bring

A mix of technical depth and customer-facing skill, enough engineering to scope a system and enough communication to earn trust on a plant floor. You ask the right questions and you're comfortable saying what shouldn't be automated, too.

Bonus points

A background in manufacturing, automation, or robotics, plus experience in a customer-facing technical role.
