Robotics Software Engineer

Overview
The software is what makes our automation more than a pile of hardware. As a Robotics Software Engineer, you'll write the motion planning, perception integration, and control software that keeps a line running on real factory floors.
The role
You'll build and maintain the software that drives our cells, working close to the hardware on systems where reliability isn't optional. This is robotics software with real consequences: when your code runs, a line runs.
What you'll do
Develop motion planning and coordination software, integrate perception and controls, and build the tooling that helps our engineers bring cells online faster. You'll debug on real hardware and care about software that survives contact with the floor.
What you'll bring
A strong software engineering background and experience working close to hardware, whether robotics, controls, or real-time systems. You write clean, reliable code and stay calm when the bug is somewhere between the software and the steel.
Bonus points
Experience with ROS, motion planning frameworks, or real-time systems. Exposure to industrial robotics is a strong plus.
Why Precept
We build our own lines because the line is the product as much as the part it makes. You'll work on real systems that ship to real factory floors, alongside a team that designs, builds, and operates everything in-house. We build in the U.S., and we build to last.
