Robotics Engineer

Overview
Precept designs and builds the robotic cells that make advanced manufacturing possible, and we operate them ourselves. As a Robotics Engineer, you'll be at the center of that work, building the automation that turns a design into a line that runs shift after shift.
The role
You'll develop robotic assembly and handling cells from concept through deployment, working across articulated arms, end-of-arm tooling, and motion planning. This is hands-on engineering: you'll be on the floor as often as you're at your desk, tuning cells until they hold tolerance every cycle.
What you'll do
Program and integrate industrial robots into production cells, define motion paths and cycle times, and work with our controls and vision teams to make each cell run unattended. You'll own performance from first article through full-rate production and iterate as customer requirements evolve.
What you'll bring
Several years of hands-on experience with industrial robotics, programming, integration, and cell development, plus a strong grounding in mechanics and motion. You're comfortable owning a system end to end and know the difference between a cell that works in a demo and one that holds up across a hundred-thousand-unit run.
Bonus points
Experience with multiple robot platforms, welding or fastening applications, or building lines that change over between products. Familiarity with machine vision and how perception feeds motion is a real plus.
Why Precept
We build our own lines because the line is the product as much as the part it makes. You'll work on real systems that ship to real factory floors, alongside a team that designs, builds, and operates everything in-house. We build in the U.S., and we build to last.
